Attention Excalibur Owners

For those of you who have the engines changed in your cars from the 305 to the 350, be sure you are using a good qualified garage. If you are having the carburetor rebuilt or changed all of this also applies to you:

There are several things that must be attended to when changing parts on these cars. Things must be replaced just from age if not changing parts.

1. All fuel lines on any of these cars that are 15 years or older - there is an in-line fuel filter under the car that must be changed at least once per year.
2. All vacuum lines, fuel return lines, evaporator lines and fuel pump lines - this requires dropping the gas tank and cleaning out as well.

Many owners think that because the car has very few miles that all is well, when in fact miles have nothing to do with hoses drying out from heat, age, and fuel additives.

The cost to do all belts and hoses as well as all the fuel, vacuum, and evaporator lines is cheaper than fixings what might happen if you do not.
